Congratulations to Oreta’s managing director, Sachin Verma, who was named ‘Entrepreneur of the Year’ award at the notable 2019 ARN Innovation Award night, held in Sydney recently
In its 13th year, the ARN Innovation Awards night celebrated and rewarded excellence across the Australian IT channel. It was an incredible night that recognised the achievements of a phenomenal line-up of partners, start-ups, vendors, distributors and individuals.
Sachin won the ‘Entrepreneur Award’ for demonstrating leadership in two organisations, Oreta and Telstra Business Technology Centre (TBTC) in Melbourne and driving market growth across enterprise and SMB. By leveraging the proficiencies of both organisations, the combined offering now provides end-to-end capabilities nationwide.
“I am so thrilled and honoured to be named as the ‘Entrepreneur of the Year’ at the prestigious ARN Awards last night. I still can’t believe it! I am seriously humbled and sincerely want to thank my team of Oreos, particularly Rajitha Rajasingham, co-founder and director of Oreta, and all the people who believed in me”, proudly Sachin commented.
Oreta was also a finalist in two other categories, which further demonstrates the excellence we strive for in ICT. It was a great feeling to know that Oreta’s high calibre team is known for its IT craftsmanship, as well as Sachin for his entrepreneurial flair.
It was a day to remember for Sachin. Not only did he receive the award in front of the IT industry’s elite, but earlier that day he was a keynote speaker at the Google Cloud Summit’s Partner Connect Day, where he shared his insights with fellow Google partners on providing cloud services to the SMB market.
Oreta has moved two blocks down Collins Street to the iconic Rialto. With our ever-expanding team and a recent merge with a new brand, the change was beckoning.
In the midst of the excitement, not only did we pack up and shift but we also acquired a new brand, Telstra Business Technology Centre (TBTC). The merge brings enormous growth potential, and the ability to diversify and modernise our services, proving that we are a leader in the IT industry.
The recent acquisition will enable Oreta to address the increasingly complex technology needs of small to medium enterprises, including cloud storage and software services, cybersecurity and multi-site networks. We are now well equipped to demonstrate to the business community what is possible with technology and keep them abreast of new and customised technology solutions.
Ideally situated in the heart of Melbourne’s CBD, our new space will help differentiate Oreta even further, as being one of a few Cloud companies able to offer a world-class Experience Centre. The Centre is designed to give customers the opportunity to see firsthand the latest technology solutions offered by our partners, including Google and Cisco.
As you walk into our office, you will be greeted by an amazing ‘Front of House’, designed with innovative technology pods. These pods are designed to take collaboration to a new level, where customers’ expectations about what’s possible for their business will be pushed.
Customers will be taken on a journey of discovery, where they will learn what technology solutions are possible for their business, and test and try products like Pixels, Chromebooks and Jamboards (Google), and Webex collaboration tools (Cisco).
Our Collaboration/Partner Pods: Oreta, Google & Cisco
But, there is more to our new space than just our technology pods. In looking at the bigger picture, Oreta will be able to run meetings and events on a much larger scale than ever before with our new seminar/boardroom space, which can cater for over 60 people. These spaces will be used for various internal and external events including Workshops Lunch and Learns, CIO luncheons, and much, much more.
Our recent move and acquisition would not have been as seamless as it was without the amazing work of some of our staff. We would like to extend a massive thank you to;
Josie Germanos, for taking ownership of managing the design of the new office, and ensuring the transition was as smooth as possible. The high-quality business space is a tribute to your tireless efforts. Josh Keats (from TBTC), for the amazing tech fit-out. What amazing job, which customers will continue to talk about for a long time. Curt, Cyril and Rob Scoberg (from Oreta), who were instrumental in working alongside Josh to ensure the tech fit-out ran as smoothly as possible.
When you are in the area, make sure you pop in for a visit. Otherwise, you can make an appointment by phoning 13000 Oreta. We’d love to show you around.
The 2018 Fast50 was the fastest yet: entrants posted an average growth rate of 87.1 percent, up from 2017’s 85.3 percent. Entrants continue to accelerate, and this tells us a lot about the IT industry’s ability to reinvent itself and add new value to the businesses it serves.
Oreta came in at number 25 as a fast-growing company in the Australian IT channel, based on our year-on-year revenue growth. After an entry and judging process running from July to November, we joined the other top companies at a major awards ceremony in Sydney last night.
Telstra has honoured and recognised its top performing partners across the channel in Australia, recognising excellence from a host of emerging and established businesses.

ARN announced the finalists for the 2018 ARN Women in ICT Awards (WIICTA), more than 70 individuals made the final shortlist in 2018, representing more than 50 organisations in the most competitive line-up in the history of the awards.
There were some extraordinary women on the list, and we’re very proud that our very own Rajitha is amongst them. We also want to extend our thanks to ARN for continuing to support, encourage and celebrate women in IT. Platforms like this go a long way to attract and retain women in the IT industry, bringing in diverse perspectives and more meaningful and collaborative solutions for today and beyond.
