Challenges
Mainfreight had sole dependence and reliance on a single network infrastructure which meant they had only one option for connectivity. This reflected inflexibility in making moves, adds and changes (MAC) such as IP addresses, installations, and quality of service policies. They also faced lack of visibility, transparency, and answers from their Telco for lead times and delivery. Their main concern and priority were to get the network infrastructure installed in an efficient and speedy manner to their Greenfield locations.
Solution
Oreta led the installation of CISCO Vaptella which allowed Mainfreight to be carrier agnostics to any other Telco depending on their business changes. The overlay of additional managed service support meant that they were able to adjust their network in a much faster and more efficient way. This also meant they will have hand in hand support for any network challenges such as devices, links, configuration as well as additional advisory on new technology.
