Eclipx

Eclipx journey to Cloud transformation and automation

Eclipx Group is an established leader in vehicle fleet leasing, fleet management and diversified financial services in Australia and New Zealand.

Challenges

Eclipx was running over 34 legacy applications on ageing infrastructure with limited disaster recovery (DC). This meant that their security and analytics teams were deploying new services in legacy frameworks which caused inefficiencies and vulnerability.

Solution

Oreta was engaged to transform the foundational platform to Cloud services and provide automation for the infrastructure and network services whilst managing the Eclipx developers. Leading to the transformation of 34 applications to Google services rather than a traditional Lift and Shift resulting in the reduction of technical debt, upgrades to Windows OS, right sizing Virtual Machines and leveraging cloud native services to reduce operating costs.

Outcome

  • Analytics through Google Cloud to meet business demand for the digital future.
  • Reduction of redundant work for internal IT team
  • Improved turnaround times with automated provisional services
  • The improvement of disaster recovery capability
