From Humble Beginnings
Oreta was established in 2015 by co-founders Sachin Verma & Rajitha Rajasingham. They identified a growing need from the mid-market to invest in cloud computing. Large companies were experiencing the benefits of the cloud. Smaller organisations were missing out on the opportunity to perform on the big stage. Small to medium-sized businesses were also getting frustrated & lost in the massive ecosystem of multiple IT vendors.
Sachin & Rajitha saw the opportunity to move towards a more rewarding partnership model, coupled with their eagerness to provide a new level of service, where reliability, accountability, & transparency were the keys to delivering customer excellence.
Together they brought their unique skillset, with over 50 years of combined experience, & embarked on a new venture – Oreta.
From a small office in La Trobe St, our services initially focused on cloud computing using Telstra’s dedicated hosted environment CSD/CSX. Our headcount started with the employment of our first delivery manager, Andrew Jones now Head of Delivery, to oversee several clients, including our first customer, Oz Minerals, which engaged Oreta to carry out a migration within the Telstra hosted platform. Signing on our first customer was the beginning of our path to being the Telstra partner with the most extensive Telstra CSX experience.
Today, we have grown our headcount exponentially. Our services have evolved to now providing advisory, delivery, and operations in the cloud, security, network, and workplace. Our partner ecosystem has expanded significantly to include major vendors such as Microsoft, Google, Equinix, Cisco, VMware, Checkpoint, and Palo Alto.
We have achieved many accolades and recognition within the IT industry for the quality of service we provide to the mid-market. We are one of the fastest-growing Australian owned and operated providers in IT services.
Our journey has only just begun. As we continue to grow, we will strengthen our partnerships with our current customers, develop relationships with new customers, and deliver a consistent service of distinction to all customers.
