Oreta Recognised at the Australian Cyber Awards with Dual Finalist Nominations

Australian Cyber Awards is a premier national program recognising outstanding individuals and organisations making significant contributions to cybersecurity in Australia. Oreta is proud to share that Faizal J. has been named a finalist in two highly competitive categories:

  • Cyber Security Consultant of the Year – Enterprise
  • CISO of the Year

Cyber Security Consultant of the Year – Enterprise acknowledges individuals who demonstrate exceptional expertise in helping large-scale organisations strengthen their security posture through strategic guidance, technical execution, and measurable impact. Faizal was recognised for his ability to embed security into core business operations—leading complex cybersecurity maturity assessments, aligning organisations to the ASD Essential Eight, and enhancing incident response capabilities.

CISO of the Year honours senior cybersecurity leaders who drive the strategic direction of security in their organisation, promoting a culture of cyber resilience while enabling digital innovation. Faizal’s nomination reflects his role as a trusted advisor to Oreta’s clients, where he delivers pragmatic security leadership across risk management, governance, and secure cloud adoption.

His ability to balance executive-level thinking with real-world implementation has been key to supporting businesses across sectors including healthcare, finance, and critical infrastructure.

As the Australian Cyber Awards Gala at Illumina in Sydney this April draws near, Oreta is celebrating Faizal’s dual nominations as a testament to the calibre of talent, leadership, and impact that defines our cybersecurity practice.

We congratulate Faizal on this well-earned recognition and extend our thanks to the Australian Cyber Awards for spotlighting professionals who are helping shape a safer digital future for all.
